This is a great combination of components for a complete audiophile quality power amplifier. If you plan on running more than one amplifier module off from the power supply, you should consider the larger 400VA transformer, but for one amplifier module either in stereo or bridged mode, the one included here is plenty sufficient. I'm always trying to get good deals on the toroid transformers and pass it on to our customers... they can get expensive!

Quality Price Value I bought this kit based on the thread at Audiocircle.com. About eight hours work mounting into the 12x12 Par-Metal case. Excellent sound, anyone can make one of these kits. Highly recommended. (Posted on 5/25/10)

Quality Price Value I'm from Italy.
I bought the 250 X 2 4ohm version with his 300VA power supply.
Good good good.
I like it.
I put 4 star in quality only becouse its input impedance is low, but i drive it with a 10K pot and sounds very very good.
It's possible that with a good preamplifier sound will be better, but for me it's already outstanding.
