12 volts systems Audio Power Supply for automotive and other applications designed to provide voltage rails (+B and –B) for Class D audio power amplifiers from an 8.5 to 16.5 volt DC source (battery or ?). Contains all the housekeeping circuitry to protect the power supply against streamer conditions which are:
1. Soft start circuit in order to control the inrush-current at the moment the supply power is turned ON
2. Short Circuit protection at outputs which will shut down the control module and remain in latch mode until the Remote ON /OFF switch is released
3. 12V system Over Voltage protection . If Battery input voltage is greater than 18V.. this could happen when the vehicle’s battery is disconnected or a vehicle’s alternator fails.
4. Over voltage Output is greater than +/- 60V at +B terminal if battery input is greater than 16.5V
5. Over Temperature Protection senses the chassis temperatures and will shut down the power supply in the event of an over temperature situtation.
