Quick Overview

Made in the USA by Class D audio

Overview

Our newest audio power amplifier is based on the Texas Instruments new TAS5615 digital amplifier chip. It's a high-performance, integrated stereo feedback, analog-input, digital amplifier with a power stage designed to drive 4-Ω to 8-Ω speakers at up to 160 W per channel in stereo, or up to 330W bridged. This amplifier requires only a 20V to 50V power supply to deliver high-quality, high-efficiency audio amplification.

This amplifier is configured with two BTL channels or one PBTL channel and the possibility to apply either a single-ended or a differential (ballanced) analog input signal.

The input section of the amplifier has two OPA1632 opamps... very high-performance, fully differential, audio operational amplifier designed to operate with single-ended or differential input signals. Output section features our custom made high performance inductors and metallized polypropylen capacitors. This is a very high quality power amplifier, and as always, made with the state-of-the-art materials and impeccable workmanship Class D Audio is known for.

  1. Clean Reliable Amplifier Review by John829

Great way to see what Class D is all about. Have now had this amplifier long enough to see that it is reliable.

After going through 3 Asian built amps which all died prematurely, I decided to pony up a few more dollars and try this TI based amp.

Amp runs very cool even when played up a bit. Works well with the 24V Meanwell turned up to ~30V. Sounds good out of the box. (Posted on 2/2/10)
