FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How come the price of Class D Audio products are so low compared to other companies?
Well the fact is, we actually use better parts, components, and materials than most of our competition, and you will spend in most cases, several times more for products like ours. We actually design and manufacture all of our products ourselves here in the USA. Our products are then sold directly from us to you with no middleman. Keep in mind, the actual product you purchase is not all you pay for when you purchase audio equipment from our competitors! Cut out the endorsement fees, wholesale/distributor mark-up, retail profit, advertising and marketing expenditure, and it's possible for us to provide our customers with a super high-quality product for an extremely reasonable price.

What is the difference between CDA and SDS Class D Audio Power amplifiers?
The difference is the SDS Series amplifiers have a balanced XLR input stage (as well as the single ended RCA inputs).  The SDS also has gain control for each channel and also a little better cooling. The sonic difference between the CDA and SDS is very close with the SDS sounding a slightly more open due to the input stage. You would really have to do some side-by-side listening to both to tell the difference.  These are some of the finest sounding audio amplifiers available today.

Do I need the upgraded power supply?
Most of our amplifiers already come with our large power supply. Our large power supply is already a little oversize. The upgraded power supply does add a little extra headroom and is a good choice if you plan on running your amp at high levels or if you critically listen to music with allot of dynamic range. Adding the upgraded power supply is kind of like buying a really fast car with huge engine even though the speed limit is only 70 mph... you might not need the extra power but you get peace of mind knowing you have it if ever needed. Most customers are very happy with the standard large power supply provided with our amplifiers.

Where are you located?
We are located in Southern California, USA. We are a design and manufacturing company and do not have a retail showroom, so our exact address is not listed.

I don't see a phone number on your website?
We are a small company with just a handfull of us working our butts off to make the best products we can. If we list a phone number, we would have to hire someone to answer the phone so your products would cost more, and they most likely wouldn't be able to answer most of your questions accuratly. We are out in the shop most of the day making products, and not by the phone. We do try to answer most emails right away, 7 days a week. Please contact us anytime at sales@classdaudio.com or use the link to our convenient contact form from the link at the bottom of our website. If you do want to talk to us by phone, please contact us and we can arrange for a call back to you at your convenience.

In some cases, there will be VAT (Value Added Tax), other taxes, customs duties and/or fees levied by your destination country. These additional charges for taxes or customs clearance charges are the responsibility of the recipient. Unfortunately, we cannot estimate what the charges may be since customs and taxation policies vary widely from country to country. In some cases, customs clearance procedures are required; under these circumstances, delays may occur, which will affect our original delivery estimation time.
